Daniel Trinder

Daniel has been on the Executive Leadership Team at the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) since June 2023 with a broad set of responsibilities: strategy, regulatory policy, research, data analytics, external relations & communications, international relations and fintech and innovation. He is also an Honorary Professor in Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London. Previously, Daniel was a Vice-President at Binance and an Advisor to the IMF on Financial Supervision. He spent a decade as Global Head and Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered, and Barclays, and started his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where he worked on market structure and helped establish the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFlm) with the World Bank and Gates Foundation. Daniel started his career at the UK Treasury where he ended up having responsibility for European and International Financial Services during the UK’s Presidency of the EU & G8.
