Forging Ahead: Shaping the Future of Finance
With industry advancement and the legislated Open Banking regime now laid down, New Zealand has the opportunity to truly shape the future of finance.
If you share our belief that Aotearoa can become a globally renowned FinTech Nation, we invite you to join other leaders in helping shape this moment, particularly as we build momentum toward an open finance and open data, digitally enabled economy.
We are delighted to welcome back the FinTech Hui, now in its fourth year, relocated to the new Tākina Conference Centre in Wellington with an expanded agenda. To deepen collaboration with government and maximise the value of being in the capital, we are introducing a new half‑day Touchdown experience ahead of the main Hui. This Touchdown will feature summit‑style roundtables with government, ministries, members and partners, alongside visits to Wellington‑founded fintech innovators such as Creative HQ (FinTech accelerator) and other leading firms
Created by FinTechNZ and Tech New Zealand, this is New Zealand’s essential gathering for the fintech community and the wider digital economy.
The FinTechNZ Hui Taumata 2026 offers a unique opportunity to explore how financial technology is reshaping innovation, commerce, and policy in Aotearoa and beyond. This is the premier gathering of New Zealand’s fintech ecosystem, a place to connect with a highly engaged audience of startups, scale‑ups, investors, government leaders, and industry experts, and to help build a trusted, inclusive, and globally competitive fintech nation.
