Clifford is currently the Managing Director at SC Ventures, responsible for go to market and distribution strategy of 40+ ventures. These ventures are primarily incubated and scaled within SC Ventures, attracting external growth capital as they scale across markets. SC Ventures also has strategically invested in 20+ external portfolio companies such as Thought Machine, Ripple, Bukalakpak, Symphony, CallSign and Toss.

SC Ventures develop their new businesses following four high conviction themes – SME & World Trade, Digital Consumer & Lifestyle, Sustainability & Inclusion and Digital Assets. Well known SCV ventures include digital banks such as Mox (HK), Trust (Singapore) and Algbra (UK), platforms such as BaaS provider Audax (Singapore) and wealthtech Vault22 (UAE) and digital assets platforms Zodia Custody (UK), Zodia Markets (UK) and Libeara (Singapore).

Clifford operates globally but with a regional prioritized focus on Asia and the Middle East. He works with legacy banks, platforms and partners to support the digitization and innovation of the sectors within Financial Services.

Prior to SC Ventures, Clifford was a Partner and Head of Digital Specialists in Oliver Wyman’s Digital practice covering Asia Pacific and Middle East and led the CIO/CTO Advisory Platform. Clifford has spent the past 22 years delivering digital programs and solutions in almost every major market in the world, both as a consultant and in senior leadership positions within industry.
