Weaver by name and nature – Andrew seeks to bring people and organisations together to serve our communities better in our collective efforts to utilise new technologies to effect systemic change and drive equitable outcomes.

Andrew is part of the Payments NZ strategy team looking at the future of payments in Aotearoa, working with industry and community stakeholders to modernise and create a more equitable and efficient payments ecosystem. This includes leading exploratory industry work in Digital Identity as an enabler of safe, trusted and equitable interactions. 

He brings several decades of experience in implementing systemic change utilising new technologies, working with financial service providers, technology firms,  public service and healthcare organisations, as well as supporting NGO’s and charities in their work.  Andrew is very familiar with the Tech NZ whānau, having been the inaugural Executive Director at Digital Identity NZ when it launched in 2018.

The tapestry of understanding cannot be woven by one strand alone. Only by the working together of strands and the working together of weavers will such a tapestry be completed. With its completion let us look at the good that comes from it.
