As a seasoned entrepreneur turned professional director, Janine brings a blend of strategic, financial, and innovation expertise to the boards and ventures she works with.

In 2017, she co-founded Easy Crypto, which grew to become New Zealand’s leading cryptocurrency trading platform, transacting over $4 billion and serving more than 250,000 users globally. After leading the company through rapid growth and a record-setting $17 million Series A raise in 2021, she successfully oversaw the sale of Easy Crypto in 2025.

Today, she applies those lessons in governance, scaling, and culture-building as a professional director and startup mentor, helping founders navigate growth, capital raising, and organisational leadership.

She continues to contribute to the wider fintech ecosystem as a member of the FinTechNZ Executive Council and through government advisory roles, including the Digital Trust Working Group for APEC and representation at the V20 virtual asset summit (G20).
